Yoda

 Bear

Now that I am a working dog I go everywhere with Mom.  These are my pictures with all my friends, my adventures and while I am on the job at Mom's office.  I go into the office every day and help with problems by being there for hugs and lots of understanding.  You can click on any of my pictures for a larger view.

Thanks for stopping by to see me.

This is my comfy chair by Mom's desk.  I think that's a donut over there, when she goes to the Xerox I'll check it out...

Finally, a pillow with some class (and tassels)!  Mom is still looking for a purple, velvet one but in the meantime gold is good too.

Here I am in my orange vest.  Just like the blue one only I am no longer "in training" and this one helps to identify me as a hearing dog.  Some states require that hearing dog's vest be orange.  This is NOT required by the Americans with Disabilities Act, but I wear it so Mom doesn't have to keep identifying me as a service dog when we go out. (Don't let the pink bows fool you..
I'm all dog!).

That's my bed and my toys in the
background and me on Mom's screensaver!
I am saying hello to Susan.

Sometimes the floor under Mom's desk
is the best place to be.

Here I am in my "RV" on my way to another adventure. Mom keeps food, water and treats in the side bags along with my own portable dishes and drinking cup.  I'm ready to travel anytime!

.

I pose with Mom...

... and friends at work ...

....more friends....

...and with one of my vets

Here I am meeting my new big brother for the first time last year.  David was happy to meet me, just not so happy about all the pictures Mom kept taking!.

My first winter and I had to wear this dumb coat!  Look at all that white stuff, it's called snow and I found that it's great to run in and I like to bury my face in it.

The coat was not bad enough, now they are posing me with a Christmas bow!

Here I am at the company Christmas Party with new friends.  I whispered my Christmas wish to Santa.

I never saw anyone with more whiskers than me!  I wonder if he brought the reindeer?

Hope everyone had a tail wagging Christmas and I wish you lots of love and treats for the New Year!

The first week-end in March, 2006 and we went to visit cousins in Minnesota, we

had a really great time and everyone got to meet me.

First morning in the motel and I wake up ready to go... can anyone explain those little rooms called elevators?  You get in and get out?? But no furniture.

And what is that!??!  The cousins have two of these mysterious creatures.

The cousins.

This is Aunt Donna, she drove with us on the visit.  As you can see, we can sleep anywhere...

Johnny and I became pals.

Donna and I became friends (she looks doubtful) and hope to make the trip back soon.

This is Karen, she goes skydiving.  What a gal!

Lynn and I snuggle before we go back home.

April 6th,  it is my birthday and we have cake at the office.

I am 4 years old.

My Cake

I got to lick a little frosting off mom's fingers.  More please!

HOW I SPENT MY VACATION

In April, Grandma, Mom and I went on a vacation (that means a really long car ride) to a magical place called Tennessee.
We shopped at all the Cracker Barrel places and slept in big comfy beds
and were in seven different states.  We visited Nashville, saw the Paper Clip Memorial at Whitwell
and passed by a house called Graceland.
Mom has no sense of direction and we got lost in Alabama
and got to see what Mom called "places of interest" and Grandma just called "scary."
The next day Mom and Grandma wore shirts saying
"I took the road less traveled and now I'm lost."  .

Grandma and I get ready to ride.

The first thing you notice (after thousands of semi-trucks) is that they don't have corn fields on both sides of the road!

Thank goodness Mom remembered the treats!

The grass is pretty nice here!

Another motel and I rest and wait for my dinner.

This is part of the over 41 million paper clips gathered by the students at Whitwell, TN.

This is the boxcar at the Paper Clip Holocaust Memorial.

It rained a lot so we did not get out of the car much.  This is a picture of Graceland as we drove by...

..and this is one of the really big buildings
 in downtown Nashville.

Mom and I are going back and see more of Kentucky and Tennessee next year because we really liked it,
but I was glad to be home, out of the car, back into my own bed and to see my friends at work again!

It's May and Mom and I went to take pictures of
The Pregnancy Center's Walk for Life
and 20th Anniversary Open House.
I made new friends and got to meet some great kids too.

You can learn more about the Pregnancy Center here.  Mom does their web page.

I was suddenly surrounded by people while Mom took pictures, you can't even see me, but I'm in the middle of this crowd.
I was very good, did my "sit/stay" and waited like I was told until Mom came to get me.

The following Saturday Mom took pictures for Unity Christian High School Graduation (she does their web site too) and of course I came along with her.  As always, the kids love me and I had a great time meeting everyone.

It's June and we go traveling again, this time with Kathy to Wisconsin.

We started with breakfast and had our picture taken next to the can-can cow at the Crazy Cow Saloon.

Then on to House on the Rock - I walked for miles and miles and
saw lots of really different and strange things.
Here we are on the observation deck and the carousel.

We stopped at the Perkins Restaurant in Wisconsin Rapids and I meet Lisa Larson and Kery Ernest.  I was made an honorary employee and got my own name badge and an order of cheese to go!  If you are ever in Wisconsin Rapids you should
stop and say hello to them.

On to a craft fair we found where I had my caricature done by
Melody Valent of Springbrook, WI (715) 766-3314.

Next it's Rhinelander and the Hodag. You can click here and learn all about "The Living Legend of Rhinelander's Hodag"
Here I am with  Kathy meeting the Hodag and me resting at our motel after that busy day.

Day two and onto the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau.
Lots of good stuff inside and out.

Home and some much needed rest!!

I celebrate Flag Day
with red, white and blue, manly bows.

Mom says I'm where her money goes so she is getting my picture put on her credit card.  It will look like this

Grandma got a new couch and I am liking it!

Did someone whisper the word cheese?  When is my next treat break?

I went to the Field Museum in Chicago to see King Tut. It was a once-in-a-life-time tour and I am glad we saw it.  Here I am with my friend Gail in front of a likeness of King Tut, and here's a picture of the dinosaur named Sue and one of me with Chicago and beautiful Lake Michigan in the background.

June 24th and  Unity Christian Elementary School's Open House!  They introduced a new three year tuition program at the open house and I got to help Lois and Phyllis set up and I met Jacob.  There were hot dogs and lots of things going on.  Life is good when it's a picnic under a tent.

Mom, Grandma and I took off early on the 8th of July and went to see the Freedom Rock in Adair County, Iowa, and the Bridges of Madison County in Winterset, Iowa.  Winterset is also the birthplace of John Wayne.  It was an exciting day and I got to see a lot!

Sandy and Dan have birthdays in the same week. We celebrated and had balloons, goodies and later we all had lunch together.
Linda put black balloons all over Sandy's desk.

I wish Sandy and Dan a happy birthday..

WE POP A WHEELIE!

Mom got a new bicycle and although I was measured for a basket, Mom came to her senses and decided I was safer in my own trailer.
Watch for us on the bike trails!

Grandma go
t a new set of wheels too, a new
Hoverround
electric wheelchair.
Here I am with one eye on the camera and one eye watching my tail -
she is just learning to drive.  Go Grandma!

Two more busy week-ends with the Pregnancy Center:  First Mom and I take pictures at the Missions Fair.
Karen sets up colorful display and introduced me to her friends.  We also took pictures for a training class later in the month..
Here I am being so good while everyone has their lunch.

Later in September we went to a picnic with the "Smart Women"
and I got to meet more kids.

It's Sept. 8th and Unity Christian School has their annual Open House and Hog Roast.
I had lots of folks to meet and Mom let the kids pet me, I had a good time.

This is Mr. Ritzema, he is the Superintendent
at Unity and always
welcomes me when I visit.

A petting fest!

More of my friends.

I wait on the stairs while
 Mom takes more pictures.

In October our Dave is flying out to visit and we are going on another long car ride.  This time to Oklahoma City to see the Memorial.  I will have lots more pictures so come back and see me.  Mom is also going to start a second picture page for me, is this fun or what??
