As a Service Dog, Yoda Bear's training still continues daily.  This includes obedience training and outings into public places so that he has different experiences and behaves well under all conditions.  He does very well in crowds and so far has not failed to perform tasks he is given.  The main services he provides for me are:

He comes to me when he hears the alarm, the telephone or someone at the door and puts his paws on my leg or dances around me to get my attention.  I tell him to "show me" and he goes over to the table where the alarm or telephone is kept or to the door.  Then he gets mountains of praise and cheese treats!

(I am usually up and at my computer when the alarm goes off and that is why he "comes to me"  but if I am still in bed he bounces up and down off the side of the bed until I wake up.)

Because we live in an apartment we have not trained on the Fire Alarm (don't want to panic the neighbors on a daily basis) but it is on our "to learn list."  I am confident that Yoda Bear will do as well with this as he does the other training.
